Palliative care can occur at the same time as all other treatments for your illness. There is absolutely no reason to wait. In fact, some studies have shown that palliative care may extend life, reduce the need for acute care – with fewer visits to physicians and emergency departments, and reduce medical costs.

The Palliative Care Team will help you evaluate different options available, working with you and your doctor to ensure your treatment plan aligns with what is important to you.

If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms:

  • 3 or more admissions to the hospital within 12 months with the same symptoms.
